Robots Come to You is an established, exciting and unique hands on incursion! Students will Explore, Engage, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate using robotics!

Where else can you go back in time and build working medieval machines? Or why not go back further and create robotic dinosaurs? Perhaps designing futuristic environmentally friendly homes will prepare budding young scientists to combat global warming?

Students design and build their own robots and will remember the incursions long after their schooling days are over, and with over 100 unique incursions, the possibilities are endless!

The programs suit students of all ages and abilities and each program can easily be tailored to correspond to the student’s current areas of study. All that we require is a large floor space and a group of eager students! All the materials are provided!*

In a practical setting, students apply their areas of study to real world situations, as well as getting first hand experience working in teams and problem solving. The best part is that the students are having fun whilst learning! The length of the programs can be tailored to be for a few hours, days, weekly or sequential yearly programs. The incursions can also double as Professional Development for teachers. More details can be found on our P.D page

The incursions use a modular construction system. It is flexible enough to allow the students to jump right in and also create intricate and carefully planned feats of engineering. Robots can be controlled by handheld devices or via a computer.

Costs:
All workshop costs, per student, are $7.7 (inc. GST) for a one hour session. GST can be claimed back. Additional costs may apply depending on the workshop. Due to rises in fuel prices and accommodation costs, a 35c surcharge per student will apply if travel over 100km is required. This surcharge can be avoided by networking with other schools in your region and involving them so that we have 3 full days or more. This would enable us to have 4 full days. Minimum charges of $660 +GST for half day sessions and $965 +GST for full day sessions apply

Requirements:
A ground floor class room to be used for all classes. Access to the room one hour before and after the session for preparation and packing up. Tables and chairs are not needed. We travel in a self sufficient motor home. If we need to arrive the night before the session, parking space on school grounds, so we can sleep the night, would be greatly appreciated.
